St. Elias, Patron Saint of Agriculture
Farmers Market at St. Mary's
We at St. Mary's have returned to our true Christian roots with an 11,750 square foot garden that our church community has been involved in creating and maintaining. It is Christianity at its finest with the community doing the tilling, planting, cultivating, harvesting, and selling. Due to the surrounding neighborhood's response to the farmers market and activities we have had numerous people acquire an interest in our church. With Father Don on site during the farmers market, he is able give church tours and answer questions regarding the Orthodox faith. Praise God for the fruits of our labors! With the abundance of produce, we have not only been able to financially support this effort but also feed the poor and bring the community together!
